Trouble sleeping?

Having trouble sleeping?
Here are some verses that have been helpful to me.

"In vain you rise early and stay up late... [the LORD] grants sleep to those He loves." (Psalm 127:2)

"Indeed, He who watches over [you] will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you -- the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm -- He will watch over your coming and going both now and forever." (Psalm 121:4-8)

"I will lie down in peace and sleep for You alone, O LORD will keep me safe." (Psalm 4:8)

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." (Proverbs 3:24)

"I can lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me." (Pslam 3:5)

"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." (Psalm 62:1)

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' " (Psalm 91:1-2)

Jesus said, " 'Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.' " (Matthew 11:28)

My prayer for you is that you would allow God to wrap you in His arms and rock you to sleep tonight. I pray that He will quiet your mind and calm your heart. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow has its own worries. May He give you the peace that passes all understanding. I pray that you will be still so that you can hear His still, small voice... can you hear Him? There's nothing better than to fall asleep in the arms of Jesus. Allow Him to sing you to sleep. I pray you will have pleasant dreams. My the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and give you peace. Amen.

The insomnia is getting better due to recent events and news. Thanks for the verses. I've referred to them a couple of times now. I will still need the prayer over the coming months, but nothing is hopeless especially with Jesus Christ on our side.

"tomorrow has its own worries"... there is something so immensely freeing in that phrase, isn't there? i never thought to apply it to insomnia... but i can see how it works. insomnia is in one sense similar to a disconnection i often feel while awake when i have no peace... anyway, reading your collection of verses just lifted my soul. thanks.

I stumbled upon your words quite by accident. A friend is wrestling with insomnia and I wanted scriptural references to send her.

God Bless You for your insight and wisdom. I sent most all of your scriptures and even your prayer!

May God continue to richly bless your life!
